There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Common or not?

Riding in this high heat and humidity down here in the south, I notice if I don't get off and go pretty fast from a stop it seems to want to jump or cutout. Is that back to the Rotax wanting to run high RPMs. Hoping for a yes other than something actually wrong. Once up to speed everythings fine, while it does that at a slow start off I am usually at 4-5 bars.

Just guessing but it may be the anti-knock trying to compensate for the heat. You might try a tank of premium fuel and see if that helps.

pretty common

my bike did it also, it's been real hot here since i got it 3 weeks ago, I thought it was the TBR pipes i had put on? I also was running Hi Octane gas, so i went to regular gas seems to help a little. Then i put on a K/N air filter and it seems to help a little, then i went to the dealer and had a Update installed one for ECM and a VENT hose update, bike ran better after that , but still weas not getting a enuff gas at low RPM"S. would choke out at take offs an back fire on decel, so the juice box pro finaly got hrere and installed and it seems to mbe running final now?

You may be having an issue with the stock O2 sensor making the Spyder run leaner in the hot temps than it should be. I know of several other people who are having this problem with the heat we are currently seeing, and my Spyder has done the same thing. FYI, it is not only Spyders having these issues with heat right now as some of my Harley and crotch rocket friends have been talking about it as well. I have been considering getting the O2 sensor mod from Evoluzione as that is supposed to richen things up some, and seemed to be the cure for PCBeachBum's Spyder.

Spyders run somewhat lean from the factory. When you put the Two Brothers pipe on for more air flow, the ECU was able to compensate for that change. Once you added the K&N Filter that was more than the standard compensation can handle, and your Spyder should have been running very lean. As you found out, it requires a fuel management system like the Juice Box in order to push enough fuel to rectify this problem. Once you get it dialed in properly, your Spyder should continue to run fine with the changes you have made with the air flow.

For those that are running stock, or just have an aftermarket pipe, the ECU is supposed to be able to compensate but it appears that when things get really hot the O2 sensor does not send the proper signals and we lean out even more. :dontknow:

mine does the same thing. I dont want to add anything else to but I wish I could get the back firing from the two brothers to stop any suggestions?

Spyderwolf, all that info helps, but let me throw this at you...I have had all of my updates, bone stock except for a hindle. Mine does it where it is noticable but not unbearable, Do you know if I deal with it, is it something that can tear/mess up something bad or should it be fine? I ask because I really don't wish to go with a juice box but then again in the long run I don't want to be replacing a motor because I dealt with it, ya know.

The Spyders definetly run hot and lean. They like higher rpm's to run smooth during the heat of the day. I'm running the stock pipe and a K&N filter. Would the O2 sensor delete option or the juice box be the best fix to richin the fuel up. Is anyone else running this setup that could chim in on your experence with these mods.

if you just have aftermarket muffler and nothing else, evoluzione's o2 sensor should do it. it will keep the spyder from leaning thus getting rid of the back firing. it's 90 dollar investment and relatively easy installation and i do think it's something everyone with aftermarket performance mod should have. unless you are lucky like me to have power commander.:D

i was wondering if someone with electronic background could list what i need to make something like this.

it worked very good with evo o2 sensor but attenuator was too small. i would like to have a big knob to turn up or down the fuel within my reach to easily adjusted while i am ryding.

I honestly believe they will all be running fine again once the weather cools down and the humidity decreases. If you get a chance, go out for an early morning ryde before it has a chance to get really hot out. I bet you will notice a difference in how your Spyder runs compared to in the afternoon when it is blazing hot outside.

I also don't think it is going to cause any engine damage running like this. The worst thing that might happen would be fouling a spark plug, but that is normally caused by running too rich rather than lean. I am going to continue ryding mine the way it is for a while and see what happens as well. I would be a lot more concerned if it was only the Spyder, but the fact other brands are having the same issues gives me a little bit of comfort with this situation.
