• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Comfort Seat

Does anyone know when and where one can purchase this seat? The parts people I've talked to have :dontknow:no clue how to order any of the new accessories. Any part #'s?

The Comfort Seat has premium plush styling with stitched seat skin. Its custom saddle look and new relaxed seating position will increase driver and passenger comfort and reduces tailbone pressure. It is perfect for owners that are interested in riding long distances. It is sold as a complete seat assembly.

I do like the looks of this seat. But, since I already have the BRP Seat Skin, I'll install it. And, maybe look into this comfort saddle later on. And, I have a pretty good idea, a Spyder rider will be able to obtain this option along with the other new options posted from our friends outside of Pittsburg - the AD that sells the Hindle for about $429 delivered, at a price quite a bit below retail. :)

Parts mgr called me back. He talked to "Tina" at BRP. She said the accessories would be available late April/early May. BRP would be send info to dealers shortly.

Why not just buy a Corbin seat? Better quality and you can add a backrest for the rider!

One of the things that comes to mind is; depending on your riding position, not all riders will want a backrest. My riding position is slightly forward. So, I don't want a backrest. The Corbin is about $550. The BRP Custom is $429? I imagine we can get the BRP seat for under $400 delivered.

The Corbin back rest is removable - easy to just pop out and then into the back seat for when you have a rider.

Corbin front seat is $289, Rear seat $259 and the backrest is $229. Also some neat (but expensive) options like the smugglers trunk - looks really sharp!

So more expensive, but more versatile. If I'm doing some hard riding and don't want the backrest - just pop it off and throw it in the trunk.

Without seeing and sitting on one of these new BRP seats, there's no telling what the quality really is. With the Corbin you know that the quality is top notch. I would also expect a delay on the BRP seats as BRP is usually slow to ship anything new - not to mention there will be a run on them. You can have a Corbin next week.

I do like the looks of the the BRP seat, but wonder if they just used the same cheap foam inside?

The Cowl barely fit the stock seat so i really doubt it will fit this one LOL.

I agree that i'm glad i got the corbin even though i don't always use the backrest (removes in under 30 seconds) I also love the fact that i can remove the entire rear saddle to check the brake fluid.
