• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Comfort seat vs ULTRA comfort seat

My new 2015 RT Limited SE6 came with an "Ultra Comfort Seat". Can't find the difference anywhere between that and a "Comfort Seat" but supposedly there is one. Does anyone know what the difference is? Thanks in advance.

As someone stated before, the BRP catalog uses the word comfort in describing all their seats. The actual difference in the RT Limited seat and the
"comfort" seat on the special series RT, is the special series comfort seat moves the driver 2" back. You can also get the "comfort" seat with heat as well.

You sound like you've done your research and can't come up with anything. If you've the Comfort Seat then you have the two inch driver setback and it should show on the detailed bill of sale. That's right in line with what's in the 2015 paper catalog; no such thing as Ultra Comfort Seat. I'd go back and pin the dealer down. Perhaps the lettering on the passenger backrest gives a salesperson licence to call it ultra. Part of giving the driver the extra room on the comfort seat involves shortening the triangular area where the driver's backrest is mounted. See the first, left picture, it's a Comfort Seat. The second picture is the triangular area on a stock seat. No change in the '14 and '15 comfort seats except price.

Hi Gang! New to Forum. Been a Spyder GS owner for 2 weeks.

Has anyone ever tried to adapt a factory RT seat to a GS/RS. The fitment looks very similar, but without having a physical RT seat to look at, i can't be certain.

PS: I am very experienced at custom fabrication.

Thanks, Max

Ah yes, marketers on the loose! Ultra Comfortable Seat with lumbar support. Both the stock seat and Comfort Seat have lumbar support, in the case of the Comfort Seat the lumbar support is a bit higher than the stock seat. Sorry, don't have a paper 2015 catalog but looking at the 2015 paper Riding Gear, Accessories and Genuine Parts catalog the only RT seat option is the Comfort Seat. Marketeers' BS meters have unlimited range.
