• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Come Ride with us ( Joan and Lamont )

I was planning to meet you as you came out of the DC area, onto I-66, but Topper is at the dealership for the recall, and I don't know when I will get it back . . .

living vicariously through the ctions of others; don't I wish I had the time and the Spyder was back together to do this. Enjoy the ryding!

I have to cancel out on the trip I have severe case of bronchitis I've had my new 2015 RT-SS for a week and only managed to put 99 miles on it. I was really looking forward to riding the Blue Ridge with our heroes.

If I can get out of Calgary, I will try to catch up to you all in your old stomping grounds.

;) We're still planning on meeting up with you guys on the 7th, in Monticello...
We'll be blocking Rte. 42 down by the Monticello High School; you WON'T get past us! :roflblack:

 I just realized; the NASCAR race is in Long Pond, PA on Sunday...
...You guys might just be hitting some interesting traffic patterns.

At least across the Kancamagus Highway,

make sure you have some insect repellent for any stops you make. I crossed the Kanc yesterday and the black flies were out in force.
Have a safe ride!

question on the route

Getting really excited about our next big adventure. When Joan and I got married at Bikeweek in Daytona it wasn't really a ride for us even though we did some riding we spent more time in the truck.

In a few weeks we will be taking off June 1st and heading from Springfield MO to Valcourt Quebec to meet with the Road Warrior guys that are doing a ride to the Florida Keys with some disabled vets. Joan and I both love our vets and are really excited about this ride. Here's where we will be and when and we would love for you to jump in the group along the way and show your support for the vets and BRP as they are loaning them all Spyders for the ride. Looks like we might have a group for riders from Quebec joining us too. That's going to be cool. :doorag:

Joan and I will be splitting off from the group from there and I plan on showing Joan around my old stomping grounds. I'm going to take her by Wheels Through Time so she can meet my friends Dale and Matt Walksler. From there we will ride the Hellbender to the Dragon and then ride the Rattler to Johnson City where we will stay the night. In the morning I think we will ride the Snake and then head back toward Springfield. Joan will be on the 2014 RT-S with trailer and it will have a new look as of today. I'm pulling off all the Route 66 wrap and doing something really cool, or at least I think it's cool. I hated the last wrap I had on it. Joan will be able to pack our gear and we will swap bikes as I'll be on the F3 and she love riding it.

If you want to join us that would be cool. We can't stop and visit because we are on a time constraint but you have the routes so looks us up.

If you want to join the vets on the last leg here, the link to that. http://www.roadwarrior.org/events

It's going to be a great riding season :doorag::doorag:
Looking at the post to meet up with you tomorrow and the text does not match the google map, it says lunch in Bennington VT yet the route goes now where near? Can you help us out.

:2thumbs: I've got an insulin pump calibration test to do at 8:50 am, and then I'm on the way! :2thumbs:
:yes::2excited:
Rick should also be joining us!

What a GREAT day for a ride!:ohyea::yes:
Tango, Sidearrick, and I, were met by just about 30 Spyders, and another half-dozen or so "leaners" in Monticello, at 10:30 am.
The ride down Rte. 42 to Sparrowbush was real nice; very little traffic at all.
(But the next time we do this; take the detour NORTH on Rte. 97 about two miles... You can buzz down through the Hawk's Nest.)
Once we hit Rte. 209, the traffic picked up(as it always does!), but the ride down along the Delaware river was sunny, cool, and the scenery was beautiful!
The noontime stop for lunch, was where we had to break away from the group...
So even though our ride was cut short; it was a GREAT one! :2thumbs:

:2excited:.....I ride in NH mostly....and if you intend to hook up to the " KANK "....I know of 9 miles of riders HEAVEN that will connect from Rt.302 to the Kank......It is a road that is Soooooooo twisty it's closed in the winter ( THEY WON'T PLOW IT ).......it's mostly posted for 35 mph....but on the Spyder I've had a ball at 60 mph.......It's called " BEAR NOTCH RD.".......since it's on your way I wouldn't miss it.........If you try and find it on Google maps you will have to get down to very high res to find it ......just west of Bartlett NH ( 302 ) to Passsaconaway NH ( on the Kankamangus Hwy ).....................PM me if you need more details .......Mike ....................PS, this may rival the " DRAGON ".....No BS ..................PPS,.....You do not want to go through CONWAY NH ....It might take you an Hour.....The tourist traffic there is EPIC ......taking the Bear Notch Rd. avoids Conway without deleting 90 % of the " Kank "
hey blueknight that is the way they went, If you go to roadwarriors.org they have a spot tracker that you can use to follow them,

The rest of the ride down 209 was great too. Lots of twisties and some very aggressive riding. There were a couple of curves where I was real surprised Nanny didn't wake up.

HEY JOHN WINSLOW

hey blueknight that is the way they went, If you go to roadwarriors.org they have a spot tracker that you can use to follow them,

:hun:.....Yes I know they went that way because I was there......I had a pow wow with Craig ( ride leader ) and directed Him to this route....Because they wanted to climb Mt Washington there was going to be real time issue with going thru N.Conway and Conway NH....So I sent them onto Bear Notch RD.......We all had a blast.....It's very twisty but can be done at 50 MPH if you pay attention .........they did :clap::clap:......Mike

What a great ride.

It was an honor to meet Jesus ("Chuy") Vasquez Jr., Patrick Wickens, Michael Bennett, Bobby Withers, Kathy Champion, Phillip Vaughn, Sammy Lugo and Michael Paul.

It was a pleasure to meet and ride with the guys from the Road Warrior Foundation and BRP.

I was also glad to finally meet Lamont after so many years as a Spyderlovers member.

I want to thank my Warriors Watch Brother Charlie (NVR4GET) for solo road guarding the entire 126+ mile leg. That was awesome.

It was a very good day, but the best part was seeing the smiles on those veterans faces.

Well, sorry I did not get here in time for the Warrior ride, but I did get to Meet Lamont and Joan in Maggie Valley. And I must say, it was truly a pleasure to meet you guys. Hey, who else would let someone that they didn't even know take a demo ride on their pimped out F3 (thanks again, truly impressed). I just noticed that you guys were going to do the dragon while you were here. Our group plans on leaving the Bojangles here in Maggie Valley at 8:30 and head that way. Going to take 19 through Cherokee, over to 129, do the Cherohola Skyway up to Teleco Plains, up to 129 to the dam, do the dragon, back to the store, and then take moonshiner 28 back to 19, and then home again. I know that is a little off the charts, but if you guys want to join us, we would be thrilled. Not sure if you check the site when you are on vacation, but just throwing it out there. Again, great meeting you and ride safe.
