• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am new to the forum and new to the spyder world. I have a 2013 rt se5 with about 1200 miles. about two weeks ago I put a joshimura exhaust on it and it runs great. today I went out to take it for a spin, started it up and the engine light came on. I pulled the code,it was p1036,ecm h02s heater 1 upstream cat. signal error. what the heck is that?? does it have something to do with the new muffler--how can I get the engine light off-do I need to put the stock muffler back on-----HELP:yikes::yikes:

Let's see..!!

when you go to these after market pipes some need to have a fuel control unit added. You could check the 02 sensor but likely it's good. Juice box seems to be one used regularly with these kinda of pipes. I have the Hindle exhaust but does not require any modification to the fuel system. Seems they would have mentioned this to you...:gaah:

Just adding a less restrictive muffler shouldn't cause a lean condition, unless you've modified the intake too. That being said, there are no fuel controllers (Juice Box, Power Commander, etc.) currently available for the 2013s.

This sounds like a bad connection, failed sensor, or a burned wire, unless the ECM pins were damaged. Check the O2 sensor and wiring for damage. A substantial exhaust leak or running the Spyder without a muffler could also have caused it, but that would likely result in faults for both sensors. It could also have just been a momentary glitch. The check engine light and the code should clear (code will be retained in memory to be displayed in BUDS, but only active code display on the dash) when the problem clears. Upon shutting off the Spyder, waiting 30 seconds, and restarting all should be well unless the problem is still active.

I'd throw the stock muffler back on, to see if that makes a difference...
Since you're new here... When Scotty (Nancy's Toy) speaks; pay close attention!

thanks for the info--will take it to the dealer today. I am wondering, if something happened at the dealers, the last time I rode it was a return trip from the dealer for the recall service on the melting mc.

thank you Nancys Toy you were right on. when the tech did the recall work, he knocked a wire loose. put it back together and cleared the screen and I was on my way. great dealership, mosites motorsports, took the spyder in right away and were very apologetic for the problem, nobody is perfect . now, on to cape may nj and RIDE.
