• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi, everybody, I'm a new can am spyder owner. I got my bike 4 weeks ago, and I`m having this check engine light, not all the time, I took it to my dealer, he just reset the computer and told me no problem, but I still get the light sometimes. I´ve been reading all kinds of problems, when the check engine light appears, and that some owners read codes, where do I find those codes, or how if its the case, make then appear in my spyder screen: thks for your help.

I live in Colombia south America, to keep in mind and I think my dealer is guessing what the problem is.

:congrats::welcome: The only thing I can suggest is to check your oil level and insure your battery is fully charged and the battery terminals are tight .:dontknow:

To read ACTIVE codes - you could try this:

With the Spyder on and while the check engine light is active or activated, park but leave the machine on and:

- Using MODE Scroll to the Hr. Screen on the cluster
- Hold down MODE button the left handlebar and the Light switch on the left handlebar
- When you have those two buttons held down, with your left thumb flick the hi-beam flasher switch (down) 5 times fast - within two seconds.

You will see either some codes on the cluster or "no active fault codes"

Hope that helps you find any issues that need to be further looked at. If any codes were in the machine they would have been viewable by the Dealer using BUDS before they reset it.

The method above is only for active codes.
Hope that helps.

I periodically had the flashing engine light and the scrolling message to check engine. In my case it was the oil pressure sensing switch. Not saying that is your problem. Maybe just a suggestion where the dealer might look, if your problem continues.

THKS a lot to everybody, feeling better now, I was worry, I will use all suggestion, and "muchas gracias".:2thumbs:
