• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Code P1614

SC92

RT-S PE#0083
Has anyone had Limp home mode with P1614 code?
If so what fixed it. Just looking for ideas as A friend RT has been in the shop for nine week and they haven't found a fix.
I suspect the throttle body needs replacing but they have not done that yet.
Any ideas.
Cheers
Bob
:dontknow:

Possible causes:
Throttle mechanical adjustment
No initialization after throttle body/ ECM replacement
Service:
Check throttle mechanical adjustment
Check idle stop for wear
Ensure throttle plate is against throttle stop
Check throttle angle at idle
Perform THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESET in BUDS with throttle completely OFF

Is it a 2011 RT ? If so the throttle body might need to be replaced, there is a software fix coming soon, many next week.

Lamonster, do you have a list of the bug fixes for the 2011 RT? I have my 2011 RT Limited in the shop now for Limp Home Mode problems. Maybe this may help.

I read your post :gaah:

I don't have a list but I am working on that and a few other things that will help give to a place to look for quick answers. I know this can be very frustrating for you the owner, your dealer and BRP. Nobody like this kind of problems.

Carlo and Kurt will be here Wednesday and I'll make sure they know about your problem and see if we can expedite some help.

Thanks for the replies so far. We will pass info onto workshop and see what come of it.
I will keep you all posted.

It is a 2010 RT-S PE
Cheers

Code P1614 repaired

Well SPYYDERMAN's RT is alive and well.
He rang me last night to say the throttle body has been replaced with a new one and the problem has gone.
Apparently the butterfly shaft on the original throttle body was sticking intermittantly and this was causing the problem.

Although they replaced it the techs cleaned the old one with car-b-cleen and sprayed some WD40 on the shafts and they say it was nice and free.
(Maybe something to file away in the back of the brain for when warranty expires.)
Cheers
Bob
