• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clutch lever

I think it's worth the money. Think hard on this. Remember, you get adjustablitly with the Pazzo clutch too. I know, I can't wait till mines put on my Spyder!!

Marilyn, the stock clutch lever adjusts to 4 positions as well.

I know it adjusts too. All clutches adjust to some degree. I've got mine set as close to the handlebar as I can get it. It's still quite the reach for me. I'm hoping the Pazzo clutch will adjust to be closer in. Plus, it looks cool! You know how we yellow Spyder owners like things to look good!!

I definitely want to upgrade it but still going back and forth between the one I posted and the Pazzo. Just wish the other one was all black.

I hope it does work out for you. Im thinking it might not be much difference though, because it still has to be able to push that plunger in on the Slave cylinder. Let us know how it works out.

BTW, I still think my windshield is sexy. :firstplace:

I agree with arntufun on the windshield. Just got the ultra sport myself from a fellow spyder lover. So much better looking!

Arntufun, what did you end up doing to get your bearing out on the rear wheel? I found the other post where the one member purchased the tool to do it.

thats my Spyder you see on the Pazzo website, great levers and I had them on my bikes before getting one on the Spyder. I have all black one on my red spyder.

I cut a big socket to create the four notches to remove that stupid nut they have on there. I forgot what they call that tool (spanner nut ???)

I still ended up having my bearings pressed out at a local cycle shop, because they would not budge banging them out. Lamont said he was successful beating them out with a socket, but I was not so lucky. Mine were in there.

Yeah, I think that is what its called. Pretty much have no choice but to get new bearings and seals then it seems. I seen you posted a pic of all your goodies to rebuild it. Where did you get it all and how many green backs?

Looking on BRP's parts site, it looks like my part number is different for the small bearing. Seals and big bearing are the same though. Must have been a change?

You got me swingin ??? The part number I gave you is directly off my invoice. I just double checked it and it is the correct number for my 08 SM5.

Just double check with your dealer to be safe.

It just seems to be different from 08 to 09 Spyders. My dealer sucks though! :roflblack::roflblack:

I bet if there is a difference, its probably just that its an upgraded bearing but would still fit either Spyder.

There is no such thing as an upgrade from a 08 PE Spyder.

www.the-bikers-store.com

is Pazzo's stateside dealer, it took me emailing Pazzo, their stateside distributor, and The Bikers Store, one of the dealers. Right now you have to special order the single clutch lever, but they may be setting up a seperate page for the Spyder. :) it might be a while though.
