• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clunk when going into reverse.

Is the clunking sound when going into reverse normal ? I have a 2013 Se5 and it clunks when I put it in reverse or go from neutral to 1st. It doesn't do it when I'm moving and shifting through the other gears.

Mine produces a high pitched shine when backing out of the garage. No clunk though. It is obviously normal, but I can't figure out why it does that.

Here's the thing..!!

When going into first or revese your engaging an idle transmission after which all the gears are active and the shift are smooth. Most do it but the big twins are more noticeable...but it is normal...

Benefits of Lurking

I'm preaching to the choir but, one of the biggest benefits of this web site is what a prospective buyer can learn from the experiences of Spyder owners. The issue of clunking into reverse or first from neutral was one of a host of things I learned of before I ever started dealing for my Spyder, so the day I drove off with it I knew it was perfectly normal. From many one learns a lot!

The clunk on the spyder is mild compared to the sound my friends harley makes.

Also a good salesman. Bob (my saleman) told me about the clunk from neutral to reverse or first before I did a test drive.
