• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Close calls?

Other drivers do seem to notice my Spyder (extra lights) more than they did my two wheelers, but you still have people getting hit by TRAINS because "I didn't see it."

A couple of years ago a saw a car pull straight out in front of a 18 wheeler that had more lights on it than a Christmas tree - road was straight, it was daylight and weather was clear.

The car driver had been parked sideways on the verge while leaving some flowers at a white cross - obviously bad driving was a family trait.

To this day I have no idea how the truck driver kept control and managed to go from 100kmph to 0 in the space available.

...an old guy in a huge Buick... plenty of signs war ahead of "right lane closed ahead." Plenty of time to merge over to left for him... nope - he was coming fast and I saw him in my mirror and said out loud he's not going to stop! Kept coming and I was slowing down from 50 mph while he was still coming and squeezing me out... he was NOT going to hit the orange barrels... he was going to hit me if I hadn't used evasive action... passengers in car, all old white haired folks. I don't excuse him for his age... he knew what he was doing and didn't care. After he was in front of me he tailgated my friend on a bike in front of me and then almost clipped her rear as he sped out around her... like everyone has said - ride defensively and expect them to drive unsafely.

Sounds like the way my dad used to drive. NOBODY wanted to ride with him!
