• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm riding my motorcycle (I drive & now ride defensively) and watched this DUMB A$% YOUNG FEMALE RUNS THE STOP SIGN! STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD IN FRONT OF ME AS HER DUMB A$% FEMALE PASSENGER JUMPS OUT THE CAR & STARTS WALKING! I had anticipated something because how fast she approaching the Stop sign. I had already slowed to a stop. Young folks can't drive! They think everything's DAMN funny...laughing as she corrects the car and passes me! Man....stuff like that! Wonder why folks get ROAD RAGE...that's why! As a new rider, I didn't panic but it really PISSED me off!

Glad to hear that you got through it okay. Drive like every one driving is going to do something stupid. Some do. :(

Close...

Trust no one to do the right/legal thing. There are more and more idiots out there now a days. Glad your okay and things did not go badly and you handled it well...

Gman glad you made it through. Expect drivers to do something unusual and they will,:banghead: Tis the DEER that I have problems with as I have mowed down two! One in PA in 09 and one in CA in 13. Thus the name Deer Slayer.

Whoa....

Was wondering about name Deer Slayer! I will be more vigilant for sure!! I will keep riding!!

Young folks can't drive!

Same can be said for old folks too.

2 Little old white haired ladies in a min-van made a spontaneous left turn directly in front of me on a 2 way highway (they has almost missed the driveway they had been looking for I suspect). Thank God the Spyder's have amazing braking powers! The little old lady in the passengers side seat had her window down and looking right at me was just like this -> :yikes:

I missed T-boning their mini-van with my Spyder by about 5 feet. :cus:

I have those wildlife warning whistles on every vehicle I own and have ever owned in fact, and have not once hit a deer (though I have seen them on the sides of the road grazing and they take off before I get even close). Don't know if it's the warning whistles or I've just been lucky... but I keep these things on my vehicles!

You can't even see them on my Spyder, I adhered them upside down under the body panel where the air scoops are located. Out of sight, but not out of mind.

I have got them on my RT and they must work because I am always having to slam on my brakes in my truck, but have never even seen a deer on my Spyder. And my road seems to be a crossroads for the wildlife.

Yikes!

Rode to visit my sister in Ringwood NJ. Nice visit and helped her husband and son remove and store the hardtop from his Wrangler. Heading back on Margaret King so I can zip through Sterling, get a high beam flash from an SUV going the opposite way. Figured it was a police officer up ahead..Now, I adhere to posted speed limits on back roads and luckily when I rounded a right hander I was doing 40 mph. Because the amount of vehicle debris indicated a substantial impact. Two vehicles, one which ended up a bit down the road and nearly on its side. Thankfully, no injuries and the parties were speaking to 911.
Warmer weather+weekend=an increase in attentiveness.
