• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clicking at front sprocket ?? What

I installed a 30 t sprocket On my wifes and a freinds 08 Spyders about 3000 miles ago (total 9700 miles)yesterday when we came back from a ride and pushed the bikes in the garage we heard a loud clicking, snapping noise like there was a problem with the belt. but can not find anything wrong. Loosened the belt a bunch to check it out and the noise was gone readjusted the belt and the noise came back. Went out to check it out more this morning and no noise, so took them for a 2 mile ride and when I got back the noise was there again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for any input, Harry

When you are tightening the belt, are you setting it at the latest spec put out by BRP? They have lowered the tension settings twice so far, and said to make sure the sprocket bolt is retorqued after 6,000 miles and stays that way.

Hopefully there is nothing more serious than that wrong with it, but several of us are already on our second front sprocket while others have had many more than that replaced.

Best of luck sorting it out.

:welcome:Are you sure it's not the REAR Bearings.
Sometimes when a bearing is bad and gets hot [from riding] it will make a clicking/ grinding sound.

Thanks

If noise is gone that is great but I may suggest pulling belt off and feeling for side play and end play at the drive pulley, just to be safe. There has been output shaft bearing failures and a noise at tight belt tension is a symptom. Not saying it is bad just may want to check if caught early severe engine and trans failure could be avoided.:dontknow:

:agree: You have alleviated the symptom, but not likely the cause.
