• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Click click click...

Ride Forrest Ride!
When I press on the brake I hear a Click. If I pump the brake I hear a click each time I press the brake. This click is there regardless of standing still or moving.

Is this normal or ???????

Mine has done the same thing since I got it. I just figured it was the brake switch, kinda like my Expedition does.

I hear clicking in mine when I apply brakes. I think it's a combination of switch and caliper noise. I also have a mild squeal/rub noise in reverse when I first back the :spyder2: out of the garage.

It is normal. Some hear it better than others. There are actually two different braking sounds. The distinct click when you first hit the brakes is the brake (ABS?) switch. The repeated light clicking or "whooshing" sound id the pads passing the vent holes in the rotors.

Thanks Scotty. The first loud click is the one I hear. I was looking for loose pads and everything when I first got it.

Mine is also a bit "Clickety". I sort of figured that it was something in the ABS talking to the rest of the computers... Thanks for the re-assurance!

Thanks for the info... I now feel better that I have new sounds to hear since I got the RT which are normal sounds.

I just started hearing the click a few days ago. Was kind of wondering about it also. Thanks for all the "no worry" responses from everybody. Forrest posted before I was going to. Jennifer and I have no regrets about buying the RT. Seems like it's gonna be more fun than the 2008 SE5 was. Looking forward to many happy miles.
Hope to see many of you in Cuba. We'll be at the Motel 6 and arriving the 28th.
