Cleaning Under the Front Lip of the Frunk Cover?

On my F3-T, the front lip of the frunk cover (or just below it) catches tons of bugs and debris. It's a tight squeeze to get in there, so I'm open to any suggestions for getting it cleaned up. Perhaps there's a thin, soft brush that someone could recommend to get in there without damaging the paint?

Or perhaps a different idea?

Hydrogen Peroxide from your medicine cabinet to soften the bug guts. It won't harm the paint. Small paint brush, tooth brush, or Q-tips. I have a couple of 1 inch paint brushes in my "cleaning kit" that work great for getting into hard to reach spots. Trim one of the brushes back a bit and it makes for a stiffer brush, but still soft enough to be safe on the finish.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but why don't you simply open the frunk lid all the way. The front lip is then fully accessible for cleaning. I use a microfiber cloth, works well :dontknow:

I wondered that too. Just open it. I have a burned out signature light there and when the bike is on, it lights up the frunk too when it works.

Actually, this is incorrect. It's not like the hood on a car. The frunk's opening, when open, is on the windshield side, not on the front of the spyder. The gunk I'm talking about is on the front of the spyder (ie - the "hinge" of the frunk).

Maybe if you post a pic of where you're trying to clean it will all become clear. The Frunk Lip is accessible when you open the lid... to clean around the grille area, just remove the 4 torque screws and watch for any loose spring clips and then you can use your detailing tools, fluids and a little elbow grease to polish away the grime and bugs...Let us know where you are trying to clean...

Put some serran wrap over it before you go and then just peel it off. Bug are gone.

Yup - you're right. My mistake. I never thought to open the frunk to get better access to the front lip. pps:
