Cleaning tips/help for this Newbie

Get a 120 volt leaf blower to remove the water after a wash job. Mine $37 @ Lowes. :yes:

RAIN-X .....FOR PLASTIC

I'm a newbie to the Spyder world having just purchased a 2014 RT-S SE6. I'm inquiring as to what i should use or what works best to clean the bike?? Also can and/or should i use RainX for Plastic on the windshield to help with water droplets since i encountered rain on the ride home from the dealership...

I would really appreciate any and all advice on this.

:agree:.......This is a NEW formulation and is Excellent for ALL types of plastic .....and it's long lasting.......Mike :thumbup:....... As far as getting.... " A FAVORITE SMALL RELATIVE " to wash / clean your Spyder ......Welllllllllllllllll....after they drop the rag - sponge - etc. how likely are they to rinse it to get to the rocks / debris etc. off it.......:lecturef_smilie: :yikes:.........Mike :thumbup:

I'll post another vote for Lamont's Black Dymond bike detail spray. I just works very well. Takes bugs right off.

I still prefer Plexus on the windshield only because it leaves a streak free shine easier.

I tried Pledge once and gave it back to the wife. Smeary on body, awful on windshield and did nothing to help removal of bugs.

Although this may not be considered cleaning, eventually you may end up with fine scratches on the windshield, or maybe your helmet visor. I was going to replace my Chad windshield after 6 years because of all the fine scratches; but, my dealer/owner said try Novus 2, and it worked. The windscreen looks almost new.

One more vote for Plexus, it was designed for aircraft canopies and pretty much eliminates the need for waxing. Cycle Care products are also excellent. Good luck with your ride.
