• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Circuit Monitoring

Does the RTS have circuit monitoring? I am thinking about adding the Muth universal wide angle mirrors with the amber led blinkers. It says they will not work with circuit monitoring.

Thanks

Hey Willy- Those are pretty neat!
I'll say yes, the Spyder has circuit monitoring.... to a point. It has the ability to tell you when certain key electrical things are not functioning. I've not had it happen to me, but I've read on the board that some have had limp mode happen when headlights, tail lights, etc. have gone wonky.

I'm 99% sure that adding these in parallel with the current RTS LED lights on the mirrors would not cause a problem. If Muthco can offer you a money back (or nearly $$ back), it would be a very easy thing to try. The connector for the signals on the mirrors is easy to get to when you remove the mirrors. In my tools, I keep 6-8 Radio Shack alligator clip jumpers handy all the time. Clip the jumpers to the wires on the Muthco lights, then find a way to connect them into the mirror power connector. I do this sometimes by straightening a paperclip and putting one end into the alligator clip and wedging the other into the bike power connector (for the mirrors). You will want to do this for both sides and you may have to play with polarity. Support the mirrors and the Muthco units well, then start the bike and try the signals!

Let us know how it works! I might even add them to my ryde!

Interested in seeing how it goes for you.

My only concern is the size of the Muth wide angle mirror. If the same as those on my truck & SUV (not Muth), it may take up more of the Spyder's rear view mirror than I would prefer.

I have Muth mirrors on my Goldwing and love them.

Oh, and on returns, they have to be in new, unsed condition with all the original packaging. A return authorization number must be obtained from Muth within 30 days of the invoice date and is subject to a 25% restocking charge.
