• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chrome coated plastic

I noticed that the chrome coating on the words Can-Am has started to come off. Several of the letters are partially black. This is also happening to a friends bike which he bought a week before I did. The bikes are one year old this month.

Is this common? :dontknow:

I would not think so. If it was common, a lot of people all over the world would be very unhappy about a million different plastic products.

I have heard that using a power washer on the chrome with paint pieces will cause this to happen. Don't know if it is true as I don't use a power washer on those parts.

It's going in for the 12K service next week and I'll mention it to the dealer. Glad to hear it's covered.

Washed the RTs this morning and noticed that on the rear red reflector the words "SPYDER RTs" are coming off of the chrome. Not a big deal but still a quality issue. NO, I did not use a pressure washer just the garden hose with no nozzle on the end.
