• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chicago Motorcycle Show

I made my annual trip to the Chicagoland Motorcycle Show today and as always BRP had a very popular booth. The F3s were well represented and it was clear from the marketing focus that BRP is banking that this will become their high volume machine. It was my first exposure and while I absolutely love my farkled up RS, if I was in the market for a new ride it would make sense to go with the F3. The latest technology is clearly heading that way. I heard some of the Harley crowd say things like, "Well if I HAD to go to three wheels I guess this would be cool." A major concession!

I also checked out the Slingshot and if someone had a $20,000 budget I don't know how you could choose this over a Spyder, but I am clearly biased. They had some pretty heavily modified Spyders on display and they were definitely sweet.

One of the big draws of the show were dozens of custom bikes with killer custom paint work. Too bad a Spyder didn't find it's way into this group. As usual after the show I am beyond dying to get back out on the road. Come on Spring!!:doorag:
