Checking rear tire pressure

Maybe a dumb comment but since no one else has mentioned it...

The toolkit that came with my GS has a compact digital gauge that fits pretty well.

Best check the accuracy of that one. I checked mine and it ran about 5lbs high; so it went in the trash.

Just say'n

Opinions wanted...

Could this be left on the tire to act as an extension to that bas**ard placement of the OEM valve stem? Just thinkin...

So far some good ideas, but I've already got a good digital gauge I'd bought just for the Spyder, lol before I knew of the rear tire challenge. But y'all did give me an idea of what to look for.

This looks like it may work...

and I may give it a shot.
This is what I use and it works great. Use it on my rear motorhome tires also which are also a pain in the arse. The good thing is it is so flexible, you can tighten from the outer tip.

Just wondering,? At one point i had 4 air gauges, 2 were close to each other, 2 were way off from the other 2, on the same tire.
How do you check the accuracy of an air gauge, Do you have a master gauge. :dontknow:

I have a 90 degree adapter that I just screw on the valve stem when the wheel is turned to about the 4 oclock position. I can now put air in or check the pressure with any guage by just supporting the back side of the adapter. It works for me !

REAR TIRE VALVE

For the 50 th or so time, Move the valve stem.....I did and have never been happier......The next rear tire you have to replace is the time to do it.....if it was any easier it would do it by itself.....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.....PS...Kurvey girl sells 87 degree metal mtc valve stems really cheap ( they don't make 90 * )..........Mike

Moving the valve stem would just be to easy. You must make a tool with a computer to read the pressure so it would inform the ride of his rear tire pressure every 30 seconds.:roflblack::roflblack:

I got my Spyder used and was begining to think maybe the guage I got with it was something the previous owner added. Thanks to your post I believe it is original.

If it's any consolation, it could be worse. The rear-inner tires on my F350 Dually pickup are next to impossible to check. The way the wheels line up, you have to jam your hand over the outer stem to reach the inner stem. PITA

30 Seconds,:yikes: I can't wait that long between readings. It should be a Constance reading so as to give the worriers another gauge to worry about.

Far from a dumb comment S/M!! I saw that little chrome ring at the end of the tool kit but never pulled it out to see what it was. :dontknow:

Well, after your post I did and guess what....yer spot on man, a slick little digital tire pressure gauge that works like a charm!

Many thanks sir:bowdown:....I no longer have a problem checking any of my tires....and 1/2 lb. increments are close enough for me!! :2thumbs:
