• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check Transmission

Owner of 2010 RT (A&C). I was on my way to the dealer this morning for my DPS recall repair. On the freeway, I was shifting between 4th and 5th gear at about 5000 RPM when the RPMs all of a sudden went up to about 6500 and shortly thereafter I received an orange screen on my display saying check transmission. I got off the freeway and limped to the dealer at about 5 to 10 mph with no power. Any idea what this problem is? Appreciate the assistance. :helpsmilie:

Check your oil level first. SEs are very sensitive to the proper oil level. Could also be a momentary electronic glitch. In that case stopping, then turning the key off and on several times should reset it...if it doesn't just go away on its own. Beyond that, BUDS should tell your dealer what is happening...bad GPS, bad shift solenoid, wiring or switch problem, etc.

Thanks

Scotty, thanks for the response. I got the diagnosis from the dealer yesterday. Seems like it is an issue with the clutch bearings which will require replacement parts from Can-Am.

Thanks for your help,

Ted
