• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check transmission periocically popping up on display.

My check transmission light has been periodically popping up on the screen of my 2012 RS-S Spyder 2,800 miles (As if that matters).

It doesn't stay on, or drive any different. One time only it wouldn't shift when I was pushing the paddle shift button; thats only been one time, and I hadn't even made it out of the driveway when that happened. Of coarse it started working and the light went off.

Will there be a code stored in the computer, even if the check transmission doesn't stay on???

Little checking.....

If you don't have the spydercodes app you could get it and it will help you pull up the codes when they happen. If it goes away or you turn the key off the codes will be stored and can only be seen with BUDS. Most common is a faulty paddle shifter or a gear positioning sensor although I have found some light shifting can cause that as well. Make positive shifts or the sensors think you missed a gear...With that low a mileage you may have to give hera good run to get things loosened up....:dontknow:

Funny you say "give her a good run", because when it comes on the dash "check transmission" I get on the throttle pretty hard and it goes away, coincidence???
I was thinking the paddle shifter, and the gear position sensor as well. I do ride it often, just not long trips usually about 20 - 40 miles at a time (darn fingers go numb a lot).

Thanks

If I remember correctly I had to replace the gear indicator on the left side of the engine case...I think it had 2 bolts...BRP has had several problems with the gear indicators...Simple job...

It happened to mine - the day I bought it :( so went back and got some money off - but to cure it I bought new shift switch assembly as problem is with the small micro switch... Now all fine :)
