There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Laser alignment uses a laser pointer in the center axle and point to a panel 4-5’ away. They also align the front with the rear.

I do realize this is not the best method ,but it is cheap and it fixed the wandering .As you can see in the pics the tape has to go under the bike so ca not measure at the axle height .
Yep, it's a problem alright. The distance between the tires on the back side at hub height and the front side can only be done with a giant sized caliper if you don't have a laser set up. By the way, what are you going for a 1/4" toe in?

Is this 1/4 "(inch) difference between the values displayed on the 2 tape measures? If yes, what is the distance between the 2 tape measures as a change in the distance would change the angular value of the toe-in generally expressed in degrees.
What is the toe in supposed to be in Degrees?

I used to do mine very similar but extended the side arms three feet forward and aft. This was easier to measure and at that I only had 1/8 to 1/4 toe in. When I finally had my
alignment done by Squared Away the front wheels were aligned OK but were not aligned with the rear wheel. It is a temperary fix but if you have the opportunity to have a lazer
alignment done by Ann and Joe at squared away then you will know its aligned right on.

Pretty much the same setup as my QuickTricks tools I have used on vehicles for years. I did post photos of using them on the Spyder a few years ago.
As for being aligned at axle height, that makes no difference. The dimensional toe in is carried in a vertical plane regardless of height.
I have aligned our Spyder exactly the same way. Since my setup is more detailed, I can also check camber and castor.
Ironically, I have corrected bikes that were laser aligned and suffered tire wear.
As for alignment to the rear wheel, many believe heavily in that portion, when simple understanding of chassis setup, where rear alignment is dictated by the belt alignment and not centerline thrust makes it somewhat moot beyond close is good enough.
