• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Left hand lower side panel “loose” - is this normal?

As shown in the pics, my left lower black side panel is “loose”. I can move it around easily and sort of make it rattle. By comparison, the same panel on the right is much tighter and does not have this free play.

Note: it won’t let my upload an 11 second video that shows what I’m talking about from my phone.

Mine acts exactly the same as yours does. I had my left lower side panel off many miles ago to service my canister prefilter and may have not got it totally back correctly.

Exactly, there are little tabs that do not get in the right place when putting the panels on.

Any danger of losing it, or can I wait until I have to service the pre-filter at the end of the season?

Slim chance of losing it. I have had the same issue. Care must be used to make sure the panel is sitting in the tabs properly. It's easy to miss. Even when installed properly the panel may feel loose since it just sits there.

I don't think there's any danger of it coming out. At least not mine. It just doesn't fit snugly like the right side. I'm more concerned about it rattling or vibrating to the point of actually breaking a tab off or something behind it.

It is a fact of life with the Spyder that tupperware comes off and on all the time. That panel requires a plastic magnet to hold it out a bit when installing the piece above it!!!!

When reinstalling the cover, angle the front down, allowing the 2 tabs to slip under the locating slots. Then put the locking tab in the hole, but don't put it in fully yet. Once close, pay attention to the outside edge of the cover and align that edge with the stationary panel and make sure the cover's edge and panel match. Then lock the fastener down. Give it the wiggle test to see if it lifts up. It should not lift on the front of the cover if it's installed correctly.
The crew at BajaRon's showed me this as mine wasn't seated properly. Cheers!
