• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check out the new 2027 Can-Am Ryker!

Looks dfferent (lights etc) to Mondays reveal, AI generated, especially the voice?

YT seems to contain a lot of AI clickbait of Can Am's I've not seen before...

Well with the colors and shapes of the plastic's it really looks like some spiders I've seen in real life! All it needs is two long legs out front! 🙃

The orange one looks from the front a bit like a lawn tractor as found at Home Depot.

No, sorry, that was cruel.

They dropped the 600 twin for a 900 triple, but the triple only puts out 52 HP same as the old twin.
The other models still make 82HP.
Some change to the steering, someone though it is a steering damper.
Led lights OK, looks not so sure.
Lots of new luggage choices that everyone was asking for, wonder if they will fit the older models?

Dropping the 600 twin for a detuned 900 triple makes sense from a manufacturing perspective. The increase in the number of parts required is small compared to the manufacturing and support cost savings.

Some countries have Spyder’s classified as motorcycles and they have two tired licensing schemes with lower license classes determined by power output. I suspect this is partially the reasoning behind this decision.

I also suspect a detuned 900 triple has more torque that the 600 twin which means it might have better real world performance than you would expect at hopefully a lower fuel consumption on a cheaper octane requirement. Around town, which is where most Rykers get used, the lower power output might not be that meaningful.

If the bulk of the power reduction comes from a lower compression ratio, the turbo charging crowd might just love it as they will likely be able to run much higher boost levels and subsequently gain much more horsepower.

I suppose we will just have to wait and see, such that when they enter the wild, whether some of my predictions pan out.
