Check engine light

Have a new (85 miles) 2014 RSS SE5 and since dealer is closed thought I would ask here, as help has been great in the past. Everything is fine, but after its been in the sun at work ...no shade at work trees still too small.. Getting a check engine light on right side gauge (tach) and a flashing ce light on LCD monitor. It does not interfere with operation everything running fine. Have tried the turning it off for 20-30 sec, but still there.. Have not tried the other key yet when this happens

Do you have a cover/half cover..?? When the instrument panel is exposed to extended high heat periods strange things happen. Remove the key for a bit then try again. If all your fluid levels are good it may be the hight heat going to the throttle body and should clear as you ryde in the wind. Did you check for codes..?? :dontknow:

Are the codes in memory or does the problem have to be happened while checking, no code shows up on the LCD display

download to your smartphone...my spyder for apple or spyder codes fir android. This will be a great help to you . You need to pull the codes when it happens and before you turn the ignition off. Otherwise it will be stored and can be read only with the buds system at the dealer. If it goes away and doesn't come back your usually good to go. If it comes back get the codes and check them with the app. The app will show you how to get the codes...:thumbup:
