• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check DPS?

Questions

New member
My wife's Spyder has been in the shop for the last month with Check DPS alarm. When checked for a fault code the shop finds "No active fault code" is displayed. The shop has new DPS parts (whatever they may be) on order. They have been told that the parts are on back order indefinitely. Has anyone else experience this? Anyone have any ideas? The wife is starting to get very upsit with me when I wave good bye and rode off on my Spyder.

You mentioned the shop checked for fault can found no 'active' faults. Well, they should have ( or may have??? ) checked for faults using BUDS, which will bring up codes displayed in the internal computer that may now not be active, but did occur. This may help a little more.

As for the DPS parts being on back order - I would get in touch with BRP Spyder Tech Support and relay your concerns to time, including the time you've been waiting for a fix, ASAP !!!

Hope things start moving along for you on this.
Cheers.

Many of the DPS failures have left no fault codes. The good techs understand this now, and respond as this dealer did.

Did you ask the dealer to see the "Back Order"? If the DPS is in fact on back order then they should have a copy of the original order and the corresponding back order. If they can't provide you with this, then I would question them more. This is your Spyder, you have a right to demand a paper trail.

My idea is to take the wife with you until her :spyder2:is fixed !

You know it is funny. My wife and I talked about doing that. The only problem was that she said she had to drive. I'm sorry. I just can’t ride "bitch" on my own Spyder. And yes sleeping in the living room and eating TV dinners has not changed on stand of things. Now, she just takes off on my Spyder and being the good well-trained husband I am I have dinner ready went she comes back home. Thanks-redneck
