• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Chatter noise when taking off...

waiting.....this is the 2nd time I have heard this......I quit riding my bike August 26...per BRP request...hope BRP gets these 2013's fixed soon....I'm crazy with not riding...my clatters and shakes on take off and reverse...stalls and/or leaps...hot or cold.....etc

So did they give you something to ride while yours is being worked on and if not what do you plan to do about it

So they requested or advised you to stop riding your spyder that I assume is under warranty . Now this is going on a month of down time and they never offered you a loaner or anything?

To answer your questions...I do not have a loaner....my case worker said..."please do not ride your Spyder"....talked to dealer today and waiting for rain to go away...do a test ride...check off my list....then they will call.....what am I suppose to do....I have a hot 2013, $25k+ Spyder....I plan to do what ever BRP wants....I'm sure they say "oh $#!% it's Ms Baker again.......

Went to my dealer yesterday...

They replaced the clutch pack and the chattering was still happening but much less prevalent. I stopped by again yesterday and the tech told me that he was 2mm off on the clutch install so he added a shim and is now waiting for o-rings/gaskets. Does this makes sense with an SE5? It should be ready Wednesday.

My 13 RS-S makes a shuddering sound if I take off when the engine is still cold but after that its fine. Hope its not a sign of bad things to come.

Mine too. I've put 3500 miles on it since June and had no other issues. I was wondering if anyone else had this noise.

I have the same chatter plus a new stalling issue on my 2013 RT LTD. it seems to stall when hot, such as when I return to the bike after a rest stop. The chatter comes and goes. I had it in for service and the recall while up at Spyderquest. Progressive Motorsports did the work, and I trust them. However, they couldn't duplicate the problem on a 10 mile test ride, and I couldn't leave it there. As to the recall, the canister is damaged and they didn't have one, so they gave me the insulation and a part number for the canister for my local dealer's use in completing the recall. I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy, and others are experiencing these issues.

Enjoying the ryde, I was just curiuos. I forgot that you had bought them at North Country. Hope they solve your issue soon. Bruce

I should be able to pick mine up tomorrow, I'll let you know the outcome...

I just picked up my 13 ST-L SE5

They've replace the clutch pack and the noise is still there. The said they started the diagnosis process at the rear wheel and moved forward to the clutch. BRP was involved and they had both agreed on the clutch but it didn't fix the problem. They said they don't have any other options but to contact the BRP rep and I said do it. I still have trust in them as I believe they actually have done all they can do. The service manager told me today that he had another one in this week that they noticed did the same thing but that doesn't make it right.

at the dealer

:banghead::banghead::banghead:
will by ride is at the dealer....
they are looking at the problem first i was told i needed to warm it up.
but after 15 minutes they got on the bike and they found that the bike was practically falling apart.
after calling BRP they said the where authorized to take it apart to find the problem.
i hope:pray: it is soon we have plans to go for a ride in the hill country next week.

Took my 2013 rt to the dealer for recall. Paperwork clerk starts it up puts it in reverse forgets to release emergency brake and bike stalls. I tell him to release the parking brake. He does and bike chatters in reverse also in first. I tell him it never happened before so he checkd it out with tech and bike shifts ok. So i am wondering if the parking brake does not release correctly it could cause chattering.

just got my spyder back from the shop...they adjusted the belt by 700 newtons and re-aligned my rear tire and it appears the clatter and shaking is gone...hope this helps others
