Chaning '11 RT Coolant.. quick question..

I'm doing a drain and refill of the coolant in our '11 RT.
I'm using standard 'green' 50/50 premix. I've got the bodywork off the right side and draining isn't an issue.

I can get at the overflow bottle pressure cap but can't see the base of the bottle. I'm assuming I just use a long funnel and poor about 3 liters of coolant into that 'overflow' bottle? I'm guessing there's some baffles in there that retain a certain level of coolant in the bottle?

be sure to FLUSH the system before putting new anti freeze in, it is recommended to flush it with clean water three times before refilling it. You are doing the right thing by changing it, spend an extra 30 minutes and do it right.

Also please be aware that on 2010-2012 some folks wound up breaking off the drain plug flange from the radiator when they tried to remove the drain plug!
I have seen several reports of this happening here on SL including dealers breaking it off!
Apparently some radiators had a week weld there.

If you want to be sure and are worried, drain the radiator by removing the bottom hose. Thats what I plan to do.

If you do break it off, instead of ordering a new radiator, you can remove it and take it to a radiator repair shop and they will weld it back on.

I've read about the drain plug 'bung' ripping off. I hit the back of the drain plug with a little penetrating oil last night. Figured I'd try unscrewing the plug today. If it took any more than a little effort, I was going to abort that idea and pull the hose. Turns out the drain plug turned with little effort so I'm good there. Appreciate the 'heads up', though.
