Changing utopia back rest to removable version

Note to self; Don't start thread until brain as engaged. Sorry half asleep this morning, I meant to type utopia backrest, nothing to do with ultimate pps:


While at SITA last year I had a utopia back rest installed, love the back rest while riding solo. However when I have my wife on board the backrest is too restricting she complains about the loss of space.

I would like to keep it, she's says it as to go if I want her to ride with me (don't go there, already in the dog house).

Question as anyone installed the removable version on a RT and is it possible to swap the post. In other words, buy just the removable mounting option and make it work?

I'm going to contact Bob at utopia but wondered if there was any real world experience.

Is this the backrest that is part of the Ultimate seat? If it is then it's easily removed, just grab it and pull up, it pops out.

Do you have a link to the company you bought the backrest from?

EDIT: I see it's corrected to refer to a Utopia backrest, Sorry but I can't help there.....
