• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

RL, I made this change to my RT a couple of weeks ago and have been very pleased with the change, particularly on the twisty roads. I didnt try to quantify the amount of improvement but am sure I had that much or more.
Are you using the stock Sway bar? I replaced that first and it made even more difference than the shocks.

Thanks for the Update IG... I actually think you are pretty close to the %... I have not seen any engineering stats, but I felt 25-30% improved performance. Meaning it has improved on the older set, but did not go to far. This allows for a pleasing adjust-ability. To the point of being able to run @ 4-5 and be happy. Adding the sway bar allows for a lower adjustment of 3-4 so the ryde is smooth, but the bike is more responsive for a nice long ryde...

I think (within reason) for any further improvements, that the rear assembly has a negative effect on the front end that we will not be able to counter without changing it. It is nice getting into and out of turn in more of a more natural way. At least that what I think, and or expected.

20011 RT Shoks

I replaced my 2010 RT:spyder2: shocks for 2011 :2thumbs: It is much much better The :spyder2: handle very good , very stable , I have 7000 miles on my Spyder and it is amazing the difference , it is worth the $$$$$

Installed the new 2011 windshield it is much better, less wind turbulence:yes::clap:

After putting a few hundred miles on the new shocks I tend to lean toward your assessment of 25-30%. I really like the NEW feel and my RIO said she thought it is more tippy than before. I think that is due to the fact that I am taking corners even harder now than before with these new shocks:clap:.
The change WAS worth the time, effort, and money for me.
Have fun and ryde safe C-YA RL

2011 Shocks and Evol Swaybar

I have a 2010 RT-S with the front shocks at 4 and tire pressure at 18 (front) and 28 (rear). I recently installed the Evol Swaybar and noticed a definite improvement in cornering with less body roll. I just wonder if adding the 2011 shocks would make a noticeable difference. For those who have done both, what seems to make the most difference in reducing body roll in the corners - the Evol Swaybar or the 2011 shocks. I am trying to eliminate as much of the body roll as possible while maintaining a comfortable ride.
