Changing Rear Tire

I can't find a dealer local that will install and aftermarket rear tire on my Spyder so I'm going to attempt myself. Can anyone in the know post the steps involved in removing the rear tire? I just purchased a 36MM socket and was wondering if there is anything else I need to be aware of?

I seen a post where you could remove the bottom shock bolt to allow enough slack to get the tire off without adjusting the belt. Is this the recommended way? Thanks!

Once you have the wheel off you can use one of these and change the tire as well......

Balancing is the easiest part. Just put in 13 oz of Ride-On tire sealer, automotive formula. Presto! It is balanced after about 3 miles!

Didn't Lamont post a 'new' way to change the rear tire--- by removing the rear shock and letting the swingarm go down--- thus making the belt loose---- that way after the change the tension and alignment would be the same?

Bingo. Thats just what I did. Just jack it up enough to take presure off the rear tire, remove a shock bolt then continue to jack it up. The bolt will become very lose. Them take off the axle nuts and pull the axle. Do not touch the adjusters. It goes back the same way and you should need little if any belt adjustment. Its easy.hyea:hyea:
