• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changing radio presets

I tried searching for this before posting so I apologize in advance for this post. How do you re set a preset radio station? I just moved and have tried to do this but have not been successful. I have a 2013 Spyder RTS if that makes a difference. Is there a way to delete old stations?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Tom,
While I STILL have to figure out how to add pre-sets... :gaah:
I do know that you can't delete them ; you just over-write them as you find new and better stations! :D

The question is how the hell do I do that? What a stupid system!

i agree. i recently moved from south florida to georgia. i now have 8 sofla radio stations programmed in, and then 3 more at the end for georgia, and was unable to figure out how to override the pre-existing ones.

it is a stupid radio system. i've never encountered a radio that you could not delete presets.

Someone has to know how to do this. There is a great knowledge base here so someone has to know how to do it. I know there was a thread on this issue I just can't find it.

It seems once you set them they are there until you trade the bike in. I can set them but not delete them.

You have to over write the pre sets. Scan forward and backwards to your desired station hit set then push and hold the down button to set.

No way to reset

According to my dealer, there is no way to reset or erase all of the existing presets. You can only over-write as others have already indicated. I also remember reading somewhere, that it is easier to over-write the presets, once you have filled-up all the empty ones. Otherwise, the system keeps wanting to jump to the first empty preset, while you are trying to select a specific number.

Here is the problem. Some stations broadcast song, artist, and station info. If your trying to overwrite a preset that does this, it almost impossible because by the time you scroll over to say preset 8, the radio pops you to another preset due to the preset 8 trying to display artist and title info. This is a stupid bug!

But I found a way to do it. Set all the presets to a DEAD station first. Start at 1 and continue up. Now again as you go up and get to like 8, it gets harder and you have to be quick about it! Then for even higher numbers because you will never be quick enough, scroll backwards e.g. 1, 15, 14, etc. The hardest ones will be the middle numbers so again BE QUICK!

If you simply cannot get the middle ones due to the bug with artist and title broadcasts, then unplug the antenna! It's super easy to do.
