• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changed Screen Name

WaltH

Senior Member
I changed my screen name from Spyder1026 to WaltH. The number 1026 was the PE# for my 2008 GS. Jay Leno had #1 and I had #1026. As most of you know, PE# 1026 burned to the ground on May 4, 2009. I am now on my third Spyder with more to come in the future. My new screen name references the rider instead of the "roadster". Roadsters come and go, but the rider remains the same.

Makes sense to me.:thumbup::thumbup:

How do you know what number yours is?

In 2008, the first 2,500 Spyders manufactured (actually a few more) were designated as a "Premier Edition". The PE# was attached to the handlebars. It was a marketing gimmick, nothing more. The Spyders were not different in any other way.
