• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changed my oil for the first time. Pretty easy ....

Sure would have been nice if BRP would have installed a remote oil filter on the Spyder. There is absolutely no need to have to disassemble half the trike for a simple oil change.

More and more I am thinking the design goals were "how complex can we make simple tasks", or, being a Navy veteran "gundecking for dollars". :gaah:

if you change your oil.will it void the warranty.$350 bucks for oil change is nuts

Local dealer lists "basic oil change" prices (Change Engine Oil & Filter Only-Uses BRP Oil Change Kit) as 153 or 163 for the 998 (SM5 vs SE5) and either 150 or 170 for the 1330 (F3 vs RT)..."full" services at 4600 or 9300 miles only seem to be about another 20-40 bucks respectively.
Seems reasonable if the kit is about $100...
