• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CHAD Windshield, Feedback Please

I moved my handlebars back with the Kewlmetal kit and like it, but haven't been able to find a windshield that works. Have tried the EVO 111, and both the Cal Sci Lg and XL. Due to the Corbin seat and the change in handlebars, I sit up and back quite a bit. The Cal Sci windshields were the best, but still got beat up by the wind and couldn't keep my face shield up, or part way up (full face helmet) due to the wind in my face.

For those who have tried the CHAD, how is it working for you?

Just an FYI in case you can't get the info or performance you need on the CHAD. In my opinion, the EVO III slider is the best windshield that F1 windshields makes. When I adjust the slider up and cruise at 70 MPH, I can raise my face shield and get a very smooth, quiet ride. My wife has the standard EVO III and I got quite a bit of wind buffeting and noise with that windshield when I rode her Spyder but it works well for her.

Brian thanks for that bit of info i was just fixing to ask people what they thought of the EVO III Slider. I'm thinking of getting a windshield to use on long rides i'm happy with the stock for the most part but i know i'm a beat wind blown after 250-300 miles

I also have the Kewlmetal bar set up and like it. I also have a Russell seat that has raised me about an inch. I just got a CHAD but have not been able to use it yet because we still have snow and ice here in MN. As soon as I do I will post my thoughts on it. Since I am only 4'10" my seat put me a bit forward rather than back. I have noticed that the CHAD has a lot of adjustment in it, so it might be good for you too.

I also have the Kewlmetal 5" bars with the brp 1" riser..I am 6' tall..I have the F1 tall slider and it works great..:2thumbs: larryd

C.H.A.D

If anyone is interested in the C.H.A.D, there are two for sale on Ebay (search for C.H.A.D can-am Spyder). The seller has two left; I purchased one and it arrives tomorrow. They are unopened in the original boxes.

PS: I have no connection with the seller; I have wanted a C.H.A.D for some time and a friend pointed these out to me.

I just put the CHAD on my spyder two weeks ago. Just tried it out 2 nights ago. 30 above and it worked great, no buffeting noise Im 5'11" and have a Corbin seat I just put on also. I thought at first, that the curve in the top portion of the windshield would affect my vision, but your looking so far out ahead of of the bike you don't even notice it. The ride is so quit now. Am very happy with it.:clap:Hope this helps.

Does that mean you look through the top of the CHAD windshield or over the top of it?
