• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks Lamont for the modified CHAD idea. Here are my before and after pics of my new CHAD. First the ugly (IMHO) uncut toenail and second the Lamont inspired curve to the top. I'll post a link to more high res photos later tonight. I can also email anyone a PDF of my template if you send me you email address by PM. CHAD rocks!:ohyea:

Looks great!

A template? Wow ---- I just eyeballed mine and put it on the band saw...

Amazing what a difference this makes in the look of the CHAD.

Hey Firefly, your PM storage is full....can't PM you! And the Firefly series was great!

I have mine all the way UP and about 1/2 way tilted forward. Works great.

Test drove today and don't notice any difference in CHAD performance after trimming the corners. :2thumbs: Also ran Firefly's setup minus about 1" in height so I could see over the windshield and it works well. Most of the combinations of height and angle that work well are where I am just looking over the top of the CHAD.

IMO, the rounded corners really improve the looks of the CHAD a lot. Maybe I7 would consider offering them that way.

Yes, but with those three square inches of polycarbonate cut off, think how many hundreds of gallons of extra water that would let in on a typical (OK, typical for me) ride! :joke:

May be true, but the airflow feels like it is a good 12" right and left of my helmet even after the trim. I don't think the corners missing makes any difference at all
