• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Interesting..!!

have seen them, have some given to me but never new them as slab coins. By no means a collector but sure you can find someone here...we do have all kinds..:roflblack:

when i was a kid my grandmother would get a load of silver dollars and put them in a paper bag and us kids at Christmas would reach in and get to keep what ever we could pull out with our small hands. i remember the last time i saw the ones i had we in the 1800's, than mom put them somewhere and i forgot about them. after mom passed i was cleaning out her room and remembered the coins and looked for them. to this day i can't find them and have no clue where they are.

I have dabbled in coin collecting .. have lots of Morgan silver dollars... some very old pennys, nickels, dimes & quarters... quiet a bunch of 1oz silver rounds.. a Gold Double Eagle, one Gold Kugerrand and half dozen Credit Suisse 1 oz gold bars... some of the Morgan Dollars came in the plastic you described....
I am not a coin collector .. but thought I wanted to own some of these coins to pass on one day..
