Cell phones & cagers

How many cell user did you see on your ride today with a cell phone up to their ear or placed on their lap while texting?

The strangest I saw this week was a high school girl crossing a major highway(in a cross walk) paying NO attention to anything else while texting. Holy cow!!! Do they have a clue?

Walked into a bus

While heading to work in China last week we were stopped at a traffic light. Yah some of them really do work. A city bus was making a right hand turn from a cross intersection and a young man walked off the sidewalk right into the SIDE of the bus. He was looking at his smartphone and was wearing earbuds. Not sure he was talking or just listening to music. He was lucky the rear bus wheels did not run over his legs as he lay in the street. The bus just kept on going. Some others on the sidewalk helped him get back on his feet. The light changed so we proceeded to work. As we drove off he seemed to have recovered from that shock.

Lately I've seen a couple of Postal Carriers(mailmen)ether talking on there phones while going down the street or one was texting with both hands off the wheel and looking at his phone,he was only going a couple of mph,but if someone pulled out a drive it would have been a mess.:gaah:

headed up to our cabin in ny last fall and had a crotch rocket pass us with the driver texting. I was doing 75 - 80mph. WTH was he thinkin? answered my own question again! guess he wasn't thinkin.:banghead:

I seen a girl, probably 20 years old on a small 50 cc scooter driving on a main road texting on an iphone and weaving all over the place. Crazy

It must be a Bob thing. My father and I are both Bobs and have had many conversations about how warning labels limit the effectiveness of natural selection. I'm just sayin'.

When I was a kid my grandfather, also Bob, would come stay for a week or more sometimes. If the phone rang and he answered it and they asked for Bob it was "Which one do you want, young Bob, old Bob, or handsome Bob?" STill makes me smile to this day.

Ain't it the truth? It's because when those idiots file lawsuits, the court is obliged to give them equal protection under the law. They gain such traction because there are too many lawyers for the amount of legitimate legal work to be done. :banghead:

Back when Japan was just beginning to export so many cars to us, my barber had a solution for this problem. He said, "Each time Japan sends us a car, we should send them a lawyer." :clap:

North Dakota

I was down in North Dakota last Easter on some single lane Highway heading back to the border. I was overtaken by an HD. I thought great. He can be my radar detector. My jaw dropped when he pulled a cellphone out of his vest pocket and started texting on his bike at 75 mph. Not once. 7 or 8 times. First I kept up with him because I thought it was the funniest thing I ever saw. I wish I had a go pro. Then I thought, this is dangerous, and backed off and just let him go.
