• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have a 2015 RT with the BRP CB. The volume on it is very low for both myself and my wife's and when I talk on it everyone tells me I over modulate. Have used CB's for 30 years and have never had this problem and BRP does not have an answer and does not seem to care. Any suggestions on what could be the problem. Thanks - Suds

Turn mic gain down will help in the over modulating department.

You are lucky if it works at all. I had a BRP CB on my 2011 RT-S and it was poor....have one on my 2014 LTD and is is poor. Dealer replaced it under warranty and it is worse....compared to my Gold Wing, BRP has NO CB!! Just a waste of money. I put a larger grounding strap on it as suggested here and a new J&M antenna as suggested....no help....still can't be heard over 100'. A sorry piece of junk and money down the tube....

You'll just have to play around with the settings in the CB settings screen. Wish I could tell you more but I don't have the CB installed on my 2014 RTS yet, and it's not riding weather here yet for me! On my 2013 I know the settings seemed to interact with each other but I can't tell you exactly how. Also, make sure you have the headset settings in the audio preferences screen set correctly. Simplistic they are not.

Mr. Cognac has been very critical of the BRP CB from day one. I'm not ready to wholeheartedly agree with him, nor disagree with him. I know with my 2013 RT with a 2010 version of the CB installed I was able to communicate reasonably well with Goldwing riders. It got wet inside and crapped out last spring so I didn't have any transmit function all last riding season. Hearing others was just fine.

I have the BRP CB on my 2014 RT-S. Had it installed last July. Rode the Spyder to the Goldwing District Rally in Maine this summer and it worked perfectly. I was told that it was clear as a bell. I was concerned that it wasn't transmitting properly, but my squelch was up to high for good reception.
If you are overmodulating, try talking softer, or move the mic farther away from your mouth.
