• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can anyone help with ideas. I have a SE5 and really need a CB audio system. Group I ride with all have CBs. I also would like to talk to my wife on long rides. I looked into J&M but they do not make a CB system for the SE5. So need some ideas on what I can do?

Thanks

CB system for RT

Doc,
Below is a link to some information on the CB/Intercom radio sold by BRP. It is designed specifically for the RT series Spyders. I can highly recommend it as I have installed two of them now, one my RT and one on my wife's... It is an very good CB/Intercom as well as being designed for a specific prepared mounting location on the RT. If you're looking for two up communication, the intercom works very well and all this is controlled with the electronic command center buttons for navigation through CB/Intercom functions. The function info is displayed on the Infotainment screen. There is already a push to talk button on the forward side of your left handlebar....Yep, it is pricey but once you choke down the price it's well worth it. If you are handy you can do the install yourself. It comes in a complete kit with two exceptions there is an additional wiring harness required to complete the install, and you must also have the AM/FM Integrated audio system.... Here are the part numbers for the entertainment harness and AM/FM system The Entertainment Harness Kit (219400201) and the AM/FM Integrated Audio System (219400146) are required for installation.

BRP site to take a look at the CB & required accessories: http://spyder.brp.com/GearsAccessories/en-US/Product-Detail/219400145

Good luck... Len

That's a good deal. I'm going to have to look into getting a couple of those to replace my BlueAnt system -- which is great, but this would be nice to have for all the group riding I do.

I found the same radio on Amazon for about $81 and at Radio Shack for $100.

I also found a headset that will work with it for $40 at Radio Shack (or about $34 on Amazon)

Now my question is what would be the best thing to mount a larger CB antenna to the Spyder? I found 100's of different mounts and such, but curious to what others have used to mount their antennas. I would also assume that just for my husband and I to talk to one another on the same bike the additional antenna would not be necessary??

Much thanks.
