• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I ordered led lamps from xenondirect in Canada. The certified mechanic at my dealership advised me after a LONG delay in initial shipping that the 9005 kit would not fit in the 2014 RT-S headlamp housing. I returned the lamps to Canada at a cost approximating $25 on a charge of $164.87. Xenon direct only refunded $90.84 for new in the original box/ The email I received said the charge was for shipping which I paid. I SINCERELY URGE EVERY CAN AM OWNER NEVER TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DISREPUTABLE CANADIAN FIRM. SAME RESULT FOR FOG LAMPS. I AM OUT $99 WITH NO LAMPS! THEFT BY DECEPTION! MISREPRESENTATION OR RETURN POLICY! FOREIGN COUNTRY! AVOID XENONDIRECT LIKE THE PLAGUE

i ordered my led headlights from them, i first ordered the wrong set so i called them and ordered the right set and sent back the set that was wrong. i got a full refund for the returned but i did pay for shipping back to them, si i am satisfied with them, sorry you had a problem

The BEST way to deal with a problem like this: directly with them.

What is correct LED headlight bulb for a 2014 RT-S, please?

Their website says 9005. With respect and notwithstanding the OP, does their 9005 LED bulb fit the 2014 RT-S, SE6?

I have 2014 RT SE-6 and the correct bulb types are either #9005 or an HB-3 ( they are interchangeable )...........They state they have an LED bulb that will fit the socket.................I can't say any more than that tho................Mike :thumbup:
 
Yes, 9005 is the correct lamp for the RT. I ordered Louise LED elements from XenonDepot (a sponsor here) and they fit perfectly. I even did a write up and pictures of the install. Unknow if the original poster was speaking of the same retailer. If so, it sound much more like a problem with their dealer than the lamps.

It really bothers me when a new member to the board with very few posts comes on SL and bashes a supporting vendor without knowing the whole story.
 
:agree: with JC. This is an issue with the dealer; not Xenon Depot.
My in-expert guess: The Technician was unwilling to mount something to the bike, that didn't come out of a "BRP" box. The easiest excuse in the World, is that it doesn't fit... :gaah:

I ordered both the headlights and foglights from Xenon depot. I had some questions and they answered all my questions quickly and completely. I have been using their lights and am very happy.

Oh, xenondepot?....hahaha....many of us learned our lesson with them quite awhile ago....sorry, but I'd never recommend them.

Not my experience

Not at all my experience with them. I ordered the wrong HID system and had no problem paying for the return since it was my fault. Ordered the 9005 for my 2012 and now a 2014; delivered on time, well packaged and working perfectly with PROPER INSTALLATION.
 
Installed HID

Ordered HID headlights for my 2013 RTL, on sale for 130.00. Shipped fast, just installed this morning with the relays, and it turned out great. Very easy to install and a great improvement over stock. Will know better going to work in the morning.
 
9005 is correct bulb

I also ordered the 9005 LED bulb set from them and they installed perfectly into my 2014 RT-S headlight housings and they are light years better than the stock bulbs! Your dealer is giving you a load of crap because he doesn't want to deal with installing them!

Thanks to everyone for your comments; I'm ordering LEDs for headlights and fogs today and will post highlights (nyuk, nyuk . . .) of my experience with these folks!

I had no problems at all with them. Though I did not have to call for technical support, I hear that those who did received great assistance. I will be ordering my fog lights from them next week.

OP said that they were out of canada. are there two xenondirects? if the postage was that great, i doubt if it was california postage for a couple of bulbs!!
