• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just as the subject shows, I've ordered my SM5, red, and am looking forward to becoming an active member of SpyderLovers. Over the past 40+ years, I've owned numerous bikes, my current rides being a 2001 Valkyrie Interstate and a 2008 KLR 650. I also belong to the VRCC (Valkyrie Riders Cruisers Club) and recognize the same passion of ownership in this forum. I live in Peoria (Phoenix area) and look forward to sharing your company, electronically and personally.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and yes, Lamonster, I do recognize you from the VRCC. Oz and I did a lot of riding together when I lived in SoCal, and I'm still able to get together with the group there from time to time. I ordered my Spyder from Walt's in Lake Havasu as the Phoenix dealers all wanted to negotiate from a $2,500 premium. One explained that they had a large investment in special tools, a display booth and plasma TV and that explained their $3,500 boost, although he could talk the manager into reducing that to $2,500. Very generous. I got a very fair price from Walt's and so far they have lived up to their promises. I just wish that the government was willing to give back more than my $600, as my wish list has far exceeded that amount. Safe riding to all.

YEP...frikken "RIDE NOW" franchise and their non-negotiable 15900 + 2500 premium. Losing sales faster than a speeding ticket as always. Did you by any chance check Desert Dog in Fountainhills, they are the only one to email me back so far.

Congrats! When do you think you'll be getting it? I'm in Chandler and know about a dozen other Spyder owners now. We'll be doing some rides when the furnace shuts down.

Hi Bryan,
The certificate shows delivery as October 31, 2008, but the dealer thinks it may be in by the end of August. Mind you, that is the date for the yellow and silver deliveries, so he may just be confused. I'm looking forward to riding with the group.
