CAT Pipe & Blacking it out

I'm wanting to keep my stock Cat installed and black it out but was wondering what would be a recommendation for a coating to withstand the exhaust temperatures I don't want it to burn off. i.e. Powder Coat? :dontknow:

Let's see...

The easiest would be to go to your local car store and get some Header paint...they are usually good to 1,500° give it several good coats and should last you a long time. Easy to sand off and recoat if damaged by debris and shows rust down the road...:thumbup:

:agree: Pretty tough stuff, easy to apply and much less expensive than powder coat.

Jet hot

Send to Jet Hot coatings. One and done. I have had great results from them. Google Jet Hot for more info.

:agree: .......and I have had good success with Rust - oleum's BBQ paint , I think it's good for 1200* F ............... Mike :thumbup:
