I'm considering installing a cat bypass on my 2014 RTS to reduce heat and possibly improve sound. Appears to be 3 potential sources though JT isn't listing one for sale yet. Who is using Pitbull or SpyderAttitude and what are your preferences? The technical difference seems to be material: Aluminized steel vs. stainless steel. Thanks for input.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You may want to do a little more research.
The '14s don't need the cat bypass as much as the 13's did. There's very little heat on the 14's with the new motor and redesigned radiator fans. Because of that, you're not getting too much bang for your buck.
Just think of all the other things you can do with that money.

I just installed the bypass on my ST last night. Mine is from Pittbull. The quality of the welds are second to none. I did however have a slight fitment problem. It went on but it was far tighter than I expected. I did it for heat reduction.
On the 1330 no need. unless you want to make it sound better. It definately gave my 998 a slightly louder & deeper sound. The 1330's are lacking when it come to exaust note. So that will probably be your only benefit.
I have not heard any positive feedback on the Spyderattitude pipe.

Remembering back to my 25 years in upstate, I don't think the by-pass would be a necessity.
With that said: my RT-s 14 was done Thursday (Pitbull bypass). Saved about 20 -25 lb in weight, made the RT sound more like a bike, seems to be giving me a little more initial get up and go, and most definitely less heat. But out here, any extra heat in summer is an issue
Also hoping for improved mpg, but won't know that for a few weeks.AJ

As important as technical differences, quality customer satisfaction and service may be the first thing to consider when looking for a product. Two years ago when I purchased my bypass, there was only one manufacturer and to this day I have regretted my decision to purchase from that supplier. Poor workmanship, poor customer service, poor follow up is all I received from that supplier. I should have paid more attention to other Spyder Lovers posts about him, before making my decision to purchase.
From my personal experience, I would strongly advise you to purchase from Lamonster / Pitbull if you would like a quality bypass, with great customer service and prompt follow up when needed. If only I had waited a little longer, I could have purchased from Lamonster / Pitbull and avoided all of the heart ache. If the cost to replace my bypass with Lamonster / Pitbull were not so great, I would do it in a heart beat.

The Lamonster / PitBull is constructed from 304 stainless steel and the welds are perfect! When I did the installation, it went on perfectly. In my opinion it has improved my low and mid range torque and has a nice throaty sound!

Agree with all of this, don't expect better mpg, it's more fun on the gas. The bike just pulls better and shifts well around 4 to 4 1/2 k rpm. The sound is good, the bottom and mid seems improved.
The weight saving is nice. We swapped ours last summer. While the machine has no heat concerns to speak of, sitting in traffic, while stopped during the Florida summer, the heat does radiate out from under the vehicle and makes you sweaty. Once moving, the heat is a non issue.

Longer exhaust tube prior to the muffler can often increase bottom and mid power.
