There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Cargo Box lock issue - need help

2014 Spyder RT rear cargo box will not lock. Mechanism seems aligned & responds by closing when pushed on. Cannot find in manual. Nearest repair 3 hrs. away. Should I order new parts & just replace?

Have you had the rear Tupperware off? If so, there is a tab in the center that may not be in correctly. Seems to cause a variety of "catch" issues. Might want to double check.

Good tip Lucky

Thanks for the tip. New owner & unsure what "tupperware" refers to. The box has not been off. Bike has less than 3000 miles on it and has been in storage so probably no work done it either.

Spray on WD 40, try to work it. Might be gummed up. Check all hardware for loose bolts. Joe

'Tupperware' is simply the nickname given to the plastic/poly coverings that need to be removed before you can see any of the real working parts if your Spyder!!

:agree: If you have removed the rear body panel (The one tha covers the rear and sides of the top storage compartment), it's very easy to not get that very important tab in the right place... :banghead:

If you haven't: then I'd try some lubrication in the latchwork first.
Good luck!

That was my first guess, but you know you should never "assume" anything. Appreciate a straight answer.;)
