Here is something that I posted a couple of months ago on the subject of tires:
I'm getting ready to put on my 5th rear tire on my 2014 and, while I got 20,000 miles on a Kumho, I will most likely not put another one on. I find that the Kumho hydroplanes too much for my liking.
Here is what I have had on my RT
Kenda rear 9,600 miles (it was ready to be changed at 7,500 miles)
Arachnid rear 8,300 miles (it was ready at 7,500 but I could have gone to 10,000 on it)
Kumho rear 20,714 miles
Arachnid rear 8,971 miles (it is ready to go now)
Front:
Kenda 17,955 miles
Federal Evo 29,630 miles - Wow, I didn't realize that I had so many miles on them. But they are ready.
Update: I put on the Yokohama S Drive and a new set of Federal Evo's on the front before my trip to Alaska. With nearly 9,000 miles on the tires the rear Yokohama is about done and the Federal's are looking like they will go 30,000 miles. What to try next..................
I cannot possibly compete with your mileage Ann, I put the General Altimax RT43 215/60/15 on mine earlier this week. Trip to canada the end of the month, hope we don't hit rain but I guess it would give an evaluation on wet capabilities. It will get a full run to the Deadwood 3 wheel rally next year, but until then it's local runs. Hope it does as well as some of the reports, Federal Evo's are going on the front when I replace the stock tires.

First off when it comes to searching, IMO, you are far better off to use a PC rather than Tapatalk on a handheld. What are the best car tires to run on the rts?
For every tire out there you will get people who love them and people who hate them. Popular tires include Kumho Ecsta, General Altimax, Toyo Proxes, Yokohama S Drive.
I am still looking for the best one.

I wish I could remember who here said it, but the statement was " Federal Evo's are what the car DRIFTER'S are using " ! ! ! ....the person who said it was someone whose opinion I RESPECT and I really whish I could remember their name ......I know the initials weren't B.D. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.......Mike
Add to the list :insurance , tires, tire pressure, oil and helmets....:welcome:
Tires, tire pressures, oil and helmets... Probably the deadest horses that have ever taken another beating!
Quick Advice: if Ann is doing it... listen to her! She's piled up more mileage in the shortest length of time, so she's got the experience! nojoke
Ok, the Yokohama S Drive was fine but it got no better wear than a Kenda. Next up for me will be the General Altimax. The Federal Evo's went 29,000 + miles for me so I went with a second set of them.
I'm going to order the General this week so stayed tuned to my review of it.
