• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

cant register on BRP SITE

SNSTRO

New member
I have tried to regrster on BRP's Website a couple of times and each time after I fill out all the info and enter my VIN number.. it goes to a screen that says this page has either moved or has been deleted?
Anyone else have this problem..?

Teddy didn't have an issue, but had to wait for the "SSSC"

Are you using the "Super Secret Special Code" that they sent you in the Welcome pack? I know I couldn't register til I got my "SSSC" & that took almost 6 months :yikes: but once I got it, inputed it, it worked like a charm:clap:

I'm still waiting for my welcome kit. Do you have access to any additional information on the BRP web site once you are registered?

I had nothing but problems trying to register my 2nd Spyder. In spite of using the special code--they told me there was already a Spyder registered at my e-mail and address. Since I was not willing to buy a second home to house the new spyder--I did not register on the site. When I got my 3rd Spyder--I did not even try. I have not been back to the BRP site since.

Same thing happened to me, which I thought was completely idiotic. I have not bothered to try again either but might some day. The BRP site seems to be a work in progress, but it's getting better...

The web site is a lot better than it was a year ago (no small wonder when you consider how bad it was).. Maybe it s not a good idea to write it off completely.. there are areas there where you need to be a member and the info is getting better. Like everything else in life these days it seems to require the patience of Job

You can register your S/N by mailing in the card from the back of the owners' manual. I received a welcome kit after doing that.

My advice: don't bother. After seeing this email, I just went back there and checked it out... I hadn't been there in 6 months, and don't feel like I missed anything. Or... am I missing something? Is there any point to their site? The only remotely useful thing is being able to map Ryders near you, but I don't even think you can contact them.

Lot of misinformation in this thread.

They now have an extended help area for many of thses issues. Some actual step-by-step instructions too. Even talks about the zero and "oh" confusion on the code many have had.

BRP Help section I know you can contact other registered Spyder owners through the BRP web site because I've done it. Granted, not a perfect system...but it has worked for me. :dontknow:

Also, it says several times if your dealer didn't register your Spyder with BRP including a valid mailing you'll never receive a welcome packet. Also if it's registered to a commercial site (company) and not a home mailing address...no welcome packet. 1 phone call to your dealer to find out exactly what date they sent your info to BRP for registration could help. Knowing the date is golden. Having a dealer say they sent it in without some details translates to they didn't do it.

When I took delivery of my RT my UK dealer told me I'd hear from BRP after about 4 weeks and sure enough within a few days of his estimate I did. I had already registered on the BRP site as an "enthusiast" earlier in the year so I tried updating my BRP profile from "enthusiast" to "owner".

At the point where it asked me to enter my 9-digit Member ID No. I found my number contained 10 digits, so that was a no-go situation straight away and I got a "get outa here" Soprano-style response which made me feel as if I had just violated the BRP organisation in the worst possible way.

So I contacted BRP UK who spoke to the European HQ who passed a message to somebody in Switzerland who e-mailed someone in Canada who waved a wand and made it OK for a Brit like me to have a 10-digit number on his ID card. They asked me to confirm that all was now well...

So I re-entered the site to update my profile and at the point where I had given all the answers to all their insanely stupid questions I pushed the "submit" button and the software crashed due to an internal server error. I tried it one more time with the same outcome.

I have now given up trying. I don't want my personal details displayed on their childish membership map anyhow. What happens if the Russians get a copy, they'll know where I live..? :joke:

The first thing that happens when a country is invaded by a foreign power is go to the sporting good store to get all the registered gun owners addresses so they can get the guns. The second thing is the go to the BRP web site and get all the names of the people with :spyder2: so the can confiscate them for the troops. Dont register. You will be sorry when the Libyans come.:roflblack::roflblack:
