Can't get the IPOD to play thru the RT-S

OK, I am stumped. I am unable to get the IPOD to play when plugged into the dongle in the Rrunk. If I understand it correctly the IPOD is supposed to take over the radio when plugged in.

I am missing something as I even went to the dealer and tried it on one of the new RT-S's he has on the floor and even tried different dongles and different IPODs.

Any and all help is appreciated.

It doesn't take over, you have to set it in your audio options.

Yes, that's for the ipod.

LOL. Sorry, but that was my sense of humor trying to come out. I was actually suggesting (or asking if) they use/used the auxillary mode. Again, my apologies for the failed sense of humor.

If the plug is fitted to the Ipod and the socket in the RT correctly, it should say "Ipod", not "AUX"
