:gaah:
Pulled into a gas station to get gas and could not
release seat to fill up. Got home with some luck.
I have a Corbin seat that's been on for a month
no issues after puttting it on. Any hints on how to get
it to release?
 I took off the side panel and was able to see the cable that
releases the pin. I pulled a bit on it and I was able to get it to
release. I had it in the shop this week for anantifreeze leak. So
I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Its been on for over
a month with no issue. Oh well I think I'll just back the pin in a bit
so it doesn't latch. Thanks for the pointers!
Could need a little bit backward or forward adjustment, too. If the seat or trunk latch has any appreciable pressure against it, sometimes the latch will not slide back well. A little lubrication on the post and the latch plate can help. I used silicon grease so as not to make an awful mess.Sounds like it need to be adjusted so that the latch sits down on the pin and have room for a little downward pressure on the seat as you turn the key, therefore releasing the pin and seat will open.
No pin ... does that mean your seat doesn't lock down anymore?I removed my pin a long time ago. :doorag:
:dontknow::hun:Same thing happened to me at the gas station. Made it home and no more
pin. Only problem now is on windy days when I return to :spyder2: the
wind has blown the seat up.

Do you still have the seat piston on with the Corbin seat? I can't see how the wind would blow the seat up unless it's gale force winds. Most guys have to use some type of prop rod to hold the seat up while fueling.
Yup that's the trade off ... seat doesn't lock. I don't really have much wind in Jersey so I don't think the wind will pick up the Corbin. I was
wondering if anybody knows of a gas cap with a lock that would work
with the :spyder2:. Went on line and was checking it out and I read
a comment that some gas caps may cause sensors to go off. Any thoughts?
No seat piston with the Corbin and they now come with a prop rod (got mine in May 09 with the prop rod).
