• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

cannonball seat vs corbin seat

Tough one..!!

Kinda early to have much data on this. When the ryding season gets to full swing and the fest is done you will get more on seats and which one is best suited to whom...hang in there...

:agree: also a bit early on. Don't recall anyone reporting on the Cannonball seat yet. Corbin just came out with their version, so have not seen anything but pictures of the Corbin.

What seems to be the pattern though...upline seats from BRP seem to have a bit more support than the OEM seats. I have replaced four out of five OEM seats on my :spyder2:'s. My complaint has always been--too soft--give my butt a pain after about fifty miles.

I am living with the OEM on the 2014. I have both an Airhawk and a sheepskin gel pad. One or the other, and sometimes both get used depending on the pain of the day. I have also installed a Utopia backrest on my OEM seat.

The other :spyder2:'s: Two received the BRP Comfort seats, and two received Corbin Seats w/Corbin Backrest.

The BRP Comfort seats offer more support and I can do a days ride on them without to much discomfort.

The Corbin seats are not plush and soft. They have a harder pan and give you support. It takes about 500 miles to "break in" the Corbin seat to kind of fit your butt. That said, I put 24,000 miles on my first Corbin and 36,000 miles on the second one. The comment we hear most about Corbin is that you either love them or hate them.

Hope you find the above information to be helpful.

i had two corbins on my bikes over the years, and to be honest i really didn't care for them. than i found the ultimate seats and fell in love with them
